Where Everything Fits: Meet Lost and Led Astray
Where Everything Fits: Meet Lost and Led Astray
Some labels sell clothes. Lost and Led Astray sells the feeling of putting something on and thinking, yes, this is me.
A brand built on a belief
Lost and Led Astray, or LaLA to those in the know, is an underground boutique label from Aotearoa with a style all its own. Every collection starts from one idea: clothing can change how women see themselves.
That philosophy comes from founder Sarah-Jane Duff. Over a career of more than 25 years, she has been a leading voice in New Zealand's body-positivity movement and a driving force for inclusivity. Along the way she has torn up the rulebook on measurement standards, because clothes should be made to fit women, not the other way around.
Design that doesn't cut corners
LaLA is design-led and fussy about construction. It develops its colours and prints in-house, so you won't see them anywhere else. Quality, fit and ease of wear come first, alongside rich fabric textures and bold silhouettes.
Each collection is designed in Aotearoa. The label is open about how it makes its garments, uses natural, eco-conscious fabrics, and finishes each piece to last. The SS26 range includes the Cleo Dress, the Ruffles Dress in Black, the Box Tee, and the Wrap Tee with Bell Pant.
A studio store with a personal touch
The Karangahape Road studio store feels like a personal styling session every time you visit. It's a rare space where everything fits, so you can try things on without wondering whether the clothes will work for your body.
It clearly works for customers too. As one put it: "I could not love my LaLA dresses more! You make me feel amazing!"
